I started filming weddings because I kept noticing the parts of a day that nobody was writing down.

The way a father goes quiet halfway through his toast. The friend who fixes a veil without being asked. Those moments never announce themselves, and they're gone in a second — which is exactly why they belong in a film.

Everything here is me. I answer your first email, plan the timeline with you, show up with my own gear, and sit with the footage for weeks afterward until it sounds like your day and not a template. That's slower than running a studio with a rotating crew, and it's the entire point. You'll never wonder who's showing up.

I live in Boone, North Carolina, where the mountains make the light do something you can't fake. Most of my year is spent across the Blue Ridge and the Southeast — Asheville, Greenville, Charleston, Charlotte — and I travel gladly for couples getting married somewhere further out.

When I'm not filming, I'm usually outside, chasing whatever weather the ridge is doing that afternoon, or shooting a roll of black-and-white film for nobody in particular.
